D. Jermaine Husser

Executive Director

Jermaine serves as our Executive Director here at PWC! He is a veteran of the U.S Army and a native of Goose Creek, SC. Husser is a graduate of Trident Technical College with an Associate in Business degree and additional coursework at Charleston Southern University in Organizational Management.  He is a graduate of the American Express Leadership Academy and Leadership Charleston.  In 2004 he was named to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty. Husser most recently was named to Liberty Fellowship “Class of 2015”. <more>

Danielle Burks

Program Manager

Danielle Burks serves as Program Manager for Palmetto Warrior Connection. She is a native to the Chicago land area, with a passion for community enhancement. Danielle possesses over 5 years of organizational development, talent management, and community coordination. Her father who has been a solid rock in her life served in the U.S. Navy, and has always encouraged her to “Make it happen”. Bravery, integrity, and compassion are values that her father focused on early in life. This is now the attitude she brings to Palmetto Warrior Connection in its efforts of impacting the lives of our Warriors, and the Charleston community.

John Wiggins

Operations Manager

John Wiggins serves as the Operations Manager for PWC.  He is responsible for overseeing Staff Advocates in the areas of Benefits, Education, Employment, and Housing to ensure a holistic approach to servicing Warriors in the Charleston Tri-county area.  He is a Upstate SC native, but has spent most of his life out of the state.  A retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran who spent most of his career taking care of Marines, he is excited to be a part of the PWC Team working to assist and support Warriors from all branches of the Service.

He graduated with an undergraduate degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a graduate degree from Georgia State University. He has his PMP certification.

Jason Myers

Veterans Housing Advocate

Jason is our Veterans Housing Advocate! Jason Joined the Army at 28 years old in 2005, out of desire to serve God and our Country. He had a ministry background as a youth pastor prior to joining the Army. That background served him well at his first assignment in Belgium. He served as the US army Nato headquarters Brigade Chaplain Assistant position. Moving toward a career as a Chaplain, Jason entered into the Candidate Program PCSing to Fort Eustis and beginning his Masters of Divinity in Chaplain Ministry. He was ordained and accessed as a Chaplain in 2010. His next assignment was to oversee the Chaplain Candidate Career progression at the 99th Regional Support Command, where he was promoted to Strong Bonds Director position for the Army’s strong Bonds Program. Captain Myers oversaw the Army reserve’s premier resiliency program for the entire North East, to include 60,000 Soldiers in a 13 state footprint. He would hold the same position at the 81st Regional Support Command before moving onto a reserve TPU Capacity. During his time at the Reginal Support Command’s. he performed 6 casualty notifications along with other ministry obligations. He completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education to include 600 hours in a hospital setting. His top awards include two ARCOM’s, MSM. Currently, Jason works as a housing advocate for Palmetto Warrior Connection, connecting Veterans to the appropriate resources for self-sustainment. Jason has been serving for 11 years. 


Darryl Brown

Education Advocate

Darryl joined the Air Force in Dec 1988. Darryl honorably served his country here and abroad, through combat, humanitarian and Diplomatic status for more than 20 years. He now works in assisting active duty service members, their families, veterans, and retirees with understanding and applying for their GI Bill Education Benefits and Vocational Rehabilitation programs. <more>
